When writing and presenting be sure you understand it all well yourself first.
Because if you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.
Plus there should be no way someone could confuse you with any simple, stupid or complex question.
An average 6 year and 81 year old should be able to wrap-up in 3 simple sentences what you wrote about or presented to them.
Remember: complicating is easy, simplifying is hard.
